What will you find at First Assembly of God?

...family

We affectionately call ourselves the “First Family.” Why? Because, bottom line, it’s all about relationships! We’re out to love, encourage and enjoy one another ...and be there when those difficult times come.

...faith

Whether you are a beginner in the faith, an “elder,” in between somewhere, or even a skeptic, you will be encouraged in the Christian faith. Relevant Bible teaching, classes, opportunities to receive prayer, and inspiring worship services mark the ministry at First Assembly of God

...fun

Can being part of a church be fun? Definitely! Whether it’s our game nights, fishing outings, showers and parties, Telegraph Cruise barbeques, or just laughing at pastor’s corny jokes, we take “seriously” the scriptural command to “Rejoice!”

GATEWAY Prayer & Conference Center

As well as being a local church, First Assembly of God has had a regional and even national ministry. We have hosted 24FLOOD (also known as The Furnace), a weekly 6 hour prayer watch focusing on an awakening in the strategic Dearborn/Detroit region and the nation. We have also hosted a number of national and international figures such as Lou Engle, General Jerry Boykin, Brian Simmons, and Father Zecharia. We've been blessed with the ministry of worship leaders such as Aaron Crider and Catherine Mullins. Recently we hosted 22 straight nights of revival services. Conferences, prayer gatherings, and strategic events are a regular occurrence, designed to encourage the Body of Christ in the region and to win people to Christ.

...fervency

One thing you will notice if you participate in the activities of First Assembly of God is that we don’t believe in dead, dry religion. God is alive in us through his Spirit, thus our worship services, prayers, preaching and teaching is vibrant. Sit back and participate as you feel comfortable. But watch out! You might catch the fire!

...feeling

We are concerned about those in our community and around the world who are hurting. As many as 500 people are given groceries every week through our food bank. We also support missionaries around the world who share the love of Christ in word and deed.

...fallible people

This might not seem like something to advertise, but we figure the majority of people can identify with us! We are not perfect. Not all of us are even good looking! :-) But we are seeking to grow in our faith and to provide a loving and accepting church.
